Immigration and Education in Turbulent Times (Virtual)

This virtual module will provide hands-on opportunities for educators to learn about historical and current immigration events and policies while examining their impact on their school community.  

  • Application deadline: Tuesday, April 21, 2026

  • Confirmation of Placement on: Wednesday, April 22, 2026

The course includes an additional 6.5 hours of asynchronous group and independent work. Educators will earn a total of 15 hours of CTLE credits upon successful completion of the module.

Transforming Support into Impact: A Counselor’s Guide for Immigrant Communities Virtual Launch

Join CUNY-IIE for the virtual launch of their new counselor guide, Supporting Immigrant Students and Families: A Guide for New York State Secondary School Counselors.

During this session, panelists will explore key strategies for middle and high school counselors to support immigrant-origin students and families. This webinar will highlight practical approaches for welcoming students, working with teachers, families, and other school staff to address student needs, and building community partnerships that strengthen support systems for immigrant students.
