2025-2026 Hudson Valley Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PRHYLI)

What is PRHYLI?

The Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PRHYLI) is a FREE 30-hour leadership development program for Hispanic/Latino Juniors and Seniors in New York State.

Through engaging workshops and statewide events, students will:

• Network with peers and community leaders

• Develop public speaking and critical thinking skills

• Learn parliamentary procedures and debate bills during a mock legislative session at the NYS Capitol

In-Person Training Sessions

All sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM:

• Session 1: October 15, 2025 – Manhattanville University

• Session 2: November 18, 2025 – TBD

• Session 3: December 16, 2025 – SUNY Purchase

• Session 4: January 13, 2026 – TBD

• Session 5: February 3, 2026 – Vassar College

Special Events:

• Students Invited to PRHYLI Weekend: March 25, 2026 – Rockland Community College

• PRHYLI Weekend: April 18-20, 2026 – Albany, NY

• PRHYLI Reunion: April 28, 2026 – Manhattanville University
