Bilingual Extension Coursework

Dominican University is proud to offer a hybrid program designed to help certified educators earn their Bilingual Education Extension through a focused, fast-track series of graduate-level courses.

Program Overview

• Program Format: Hybrid (online with some live sessions)

• Credits: 12 graduate-level credits across 4 courses

• Course Schedule: Two 8-week sessions

• Start Date: September 6, 2025

• End Date: January 10, 2025

• Tuition Discount: No registration or application fees. 50% discount scholarship – $550/Credit.

English as a New Language (ENL) and Bilingual Education (BE) Teacher Leadership Consortium Meets Virtually on August 28, 2025

• OBEWL will host this year’s first meeting of the ENL and BE Teacher Leadership Consortium on Thursday, August 28, 2025, 11:00-12:00 PM. 

• OBEWL staff will provide information and answer questions regarding ELL Identification, the New York State Identification Test for English Language Learners (NYSITELL), and interpretation of student scores on the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT).

• Register here and directly with Zoom for the meeting (both registrations required). The OBEWL registration form provides participants with the ability to submit questions in advance to ensure they are addressed during the meeting.
