Tools For Supporting ELLs Through Virtual Learning

To better serve our region, we are switching mailing list providers on July 1, 2020. Even if you are already signed up for our current list, we ask that you please visit our website at www.hudsonvalleyrbern.org and fill out the new form on the home page or in the popup.

Signing up for our new mailing list will ensure that you continue to receive HV RBERN updates and news after July 1.

We sincerely hope you are staying safe and healthy during these ever-changing times.

With many districts quickly transitioning to distance and virtual learning models, we at the Hudson Valley RBERN want you to know that we are dedicated to continuing to offer support for ELLs across our region. In the coming weeks, please be aware that the RBERN will be offering an increased number of virtual courses to our region.

The RBERN staff, in collaboration with various district staff, compiled a spreadsheet of helpful educational tools (many for no cost at all) that may provide assistance to teachers of ELLs in the virtual environment. As always, be sure to check with your district Technology Director to guarantee these technologies are allowed in your district under Ed Law 2D. Please note that there are multiple sheets you can access by clicking on the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet. We will continue to add to and update this spreadsheet over time.

Click here to access the resource spreadsheet.

In addition to the above spreadsheet, we'd like to include our region in the conversation taking place with regard to making the HV RBERN a virtual CTLE provider. With that said, we ask that you please complete and share the following Google Form requesting your feedback.

Please stay tuned for additional HV RBERN updates as the situation evolves.
