2018 CEEP Submission

Last week, NYSED posted the CR Part 154 Comprehensive ELL Education Plan (CEEP) and Data/Information Report on the NYSED Application Business Portal for completion by public school Local Educational Agencies (LEA's). Districts with one or more English Language Learner(s) (ELL) and Multilingual Language Learner(s) (MLL) are required to complete and submit the CR Part 154 CEEP and the annual Data/Information Report by October 19, 2018.

Districts complete the CEEP to assure that the educational needs of ELLs/MLLs are being met. The plan consists of an assurances section and prompts to which districts provide narratives describing their strategic plan in meeting ELLs/MLLs needs in consideration of the CR Part 154 regulations. The Data/Information Report form and completion instructions are also found in the Business Portal; this report is submitted via the Business Portal/SED Monitoring as well. The data collected will reflect ELL/MLL enrollment data as of June 1, 2018.

Important Note: CEEPs must be kept on file and available for review upon request at the LEA’s. Additionally, all school administrators must review the CEEP and a copy must be filed in each school building.
