Join us for the Hudson Valley Learning Exchange Visits, where districts across the region will come together to learn from each other's programs and approaches. Each visit focuses on a specific topic, offering opportunities for both visiting and hosting districts to share ideas, ask questions, and exchange valuable feedback. These visits are designed to foster collaboration and inspire new insights that can enhance programs across the Hudson Valley.
Peekskill has partnered with the Hudson Valley RBERN to strengthen co-teaching among ENL and ELA/classroom teacher teams. Teachers have participated in the HV RBERN three-day co-teaching series and additional district-based professional development. Peekskill has also conducted internal intervisitations that allow teachers and leaders to observe co-teaching practices and participate in reflective debriefs.
During this visit, participants will observe a co-teaching team in action and explore how the teachers collaborate, share instructional responsibility, and support multilingual learners. The visit will focus on:
ENL and classroom teacher collaboration
Co-planning and shared instructional delivery
Student engagement and language development
Strategies that support multilingual learners within Tier 1 instruction
Reflection and feedback to strengthen co-teaching practice
The visit will showcase Peekskill's learning and growth while providing an opportunity for visiting teams to offer feedback and gather ideas for their own districts.
