Join us for the Hudson Valley Learning Exchange Visits, where districts across the region will come together to learn from each other's programs and approaches. Each visit focuses on a specific topic, offering opportunities for both visiting and hosting districts to share ideas, ask questions, and exchange valuable feedback. These visits are designed to foster collaboration and inspire new insights that can enhance programs across the Hudson Valley.
For over 20 years, Ossining UFSD has been promoting biliteracy and bilingualism in the Hudson Valley with their Dual Language program. At the Claremont School, bilingualism, biliteracy, grade-level academic achievement, and cross-cultural interactions and dispositions are part of the everyday atmosphere. Notably, the Ossining district has been highlighted by the federal Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) as a program implementing best practices and was recently included in their Dual Language Playbook. Students in the dual language program continue their advanced study of Spanish at the middle school and high school levels, following a path to the NYS Seal of Biliteracy.
