This hands-on workshop equips participants with practical strategies to help ELL students grow as writers. The session focuses on guiding learners from oral language to written expression - moving from single words and short sentences to clear, connected, and more complex writing. Participants will explore scaffolded routines for expanding sentences, use NYSESLAT writing rubric as a growth-focused progress monitoring tool, and design quick writing supports that can be applied immediately.
Participants should bring a device to access workshop materials.
