Conversational Spanish for Educators: Beginners - via Zoom - SESSION 11 (BY INVITATION ONLY)

This course will provide essential tools for communicating with Spanish-speaking students, parents, and school personnel regarding aspects of school life and education which are mostly used to communicate with Spanish-speaking students and their parents. The communicative approach of the course focuses on developing communicative competence. Participants will start speaking from day one, and get personalized feedback.

This second level, Beginners course, is targeted for basic users who can interact in a simple way; asking and answering simple questions about themselves, initiating and responding to simple statements in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics, use simple everyday forms of greeting and address, and can handle very short social exchanges (eg.: asking and answering questions about what people do at work and in their free time, etc.). There will be twenty (20) Thursday sessions; 4-5 PM. Each completed session will award 1 CTLE credit to each participant. Attending each session is highly recommended but not mandatory.

We will cover the same content as Newcomers but in more depth and speed, and there will be a differentiation according to the level of proficiency of each participant.
