Session 1: Foundations of Advanced Literacies
Participants will learn the basics of Advanced Literacies and its four hallmarks with key tools and strategies for integrating advanced literacy practices into English Language Arts.
Session 2: Strategies for Incorporating the Hallmarks in ELA - Part 1
Participants will learn strategies to incorporate the Hallmarks of Advanced Literacies into ELA instruction.
Session 3: Strategies for Incorporating the Hallmarks in ELA - Part 2
Participants will learn strategies to incorporate the Hallmarks of Advanced Literacies into ELA instruction.
Session 4: Organizing our Learning into a Knowledge-Building ELA Unit Cycle
In this session, participants will learn to organize newly acquired strategies into a Knowledge-Building Unit Cycle with a culminating Language Production Project.
To access the virtual workshops, a Zoom link will be shared with registered participants to the email addresses they used to enroll in Frontline (MLP).
This series is open to the entire Hudson Valley Region.
