In this hands-on workshop, participants will gain understanding of the importance of data-driven instruction for English Language Learners (ELLs), deconstruct NYSESLAT data and practice strategies for NYSESLAT data analyzation. Participants will convert raw NYSESLAT data to useable formats and determine their ELL’s proficiency levels in reading, speaking, listening, and writing in order to purposefully target instruction across the four modalities and NYSESLAT proficiency levels.
