Supporting Students with Interrupted/Inconsistent Formal Education (SIFE): Program Development. This session will expand on why it is critical to develop a school climate that addresses the specific learning needs of SIFE. It will include strategies for developing an effective program model and include recommendations on scheduling, student and parent support services, and community outreach. Participants will set goals for strengthening their program model in meeting the needs of the SIFE in their schools and districts.
- Discuss the need for a school climate that supports SIFE and their families.
- Apply strategies for creating a schedule that fosters collaboration and support for SIFE.
- Explore strategies for supporting and engaging SIFE and their families, including community collaboration.
- Set goals for strengthening their program model in meeting the needs of the SIFE in their schools and districts.
